Vulcanizing molds

Rubber, elastomers, seals, and technical gaskets.

Molds for vulcanizing rubber and elastomers, for seals, gaskets, and technical components with controlled pressure, temperature, and geometry. Final scope is defined based on geometry, material, equipment, volume, tolerances, and operating conditions.

Overview

Pressure, temperature, closing, and venting defined for the actual elastomer.

The mold must be adapted to the compound, shrinkage, flow, cure time, press, temperature, flash, inserts, and demolding.

Problems we solve
Controlling pressure and temperature
Designing cavities and closing
Managing flash and venting
Making molds for seals or gaskets
Replacing cavities or modifying part numbers
Variants

Types and scope.

Seal molds

Precision cavities for sealing elements and repetitive geometries. Ideal for: O-rings, profiles, joints, and special seals depending on the process.

Technical gasket molds

Tooling for flat or three-dimensional sealing parts. Ideal for: Industrial, automotive, and maintenance applications.

Elastomeric component molds

Functional rubber parts with defined geometry, inserts, or surfaces. Ideal for: Mounts, bumpers, guards, and technical components.

Molds with inserts or multiple part numbers

Modular configurations where geometry and process allow. Ideal for: Maintenance, part families, and part number changeovers.

Workflow

How we work.

01
Part and compound characterization

We review CAD, sample, material, hardness, shrinkage, curing, finish, and inserts.

02
Press survey

We validate platens, force, temperature, closing, mounting, and cycle.

03
Mold design

We define cavities, feed system where applicable, vents, closures, guides, and ejection.

04
Manufacturing and finishing

We machine and finish components in steel, aluminum, or a compatible material.

05
Cycle testing

We verify closing, geometry, flash, demolding, and dimensions according to scope.

Keep in mind

Technical considerations.

Actual compound

Behavior depends on formulation, hardness, curing, temperature, and storage.

Shrinkage

It must be obtained from the actual material and process; a generic value should not be used.

Venting and flash

Their design affects filling, appearance, post-processing, and closing stability.

Demolding

Geometry, texture, temperature, and inserts determine ejection and risk of damage.
