Vacuum, temperature, stretching and cooling must be solved together.
The mold is adapted to the sheet material, thickness, draw ratio, equipment, usable area, vacuum, cooling and subsequent trimming.
Need to make trays, blisters or plastic packaging?
A thermoforming mold is the form onto which a heated plastic sheet is pulled by vacuum until it copies the geometry. The part then cools and the excess sheet is trimmed.
To produce trays, blisters, inserts and cradles that position products, thin-walled packaging and technical housings in series.
When the part is thin-walled and can be formed from sheet. If it needs varying wall thickness, ribs or details on both sides, injection molding is usually better; for fiber trays, molded pulp.
Fundimoldes designs and builds the mold. Trays and packaging are then produced on a thermoforming machine, usually at the customer’s plant or their molder’s. Step by step: custom trays, blisters and packaging.
Types and scope.
Repeating geometries for containment, presentation or protection. Ideal for: Food, consumer goods and technical packaging.
Larger surface areas and technical geometries. Ideal for: Equipment, covers and industrial components.
Cavities and details for clear or protective packaging. Ideal for: Components, spare parts and consumer products.
Circuits designed to stabilize temperature and cycle time. Ideal for: Recurring production and dimensionally controlled parts.
Surfaces designed to transfer appearance or function. Ideal for: Visible parts or parts with feel and release requirements.

How we work.
We review CAD, material, thickness, finish, tolerances, trimming and volume.
We validate the forming area, mounting, vacuum, heating, cooling and limitations.
We define geometry, draft angles, vacuum channels, surface, cooling and trim references.
We machine and assemble the mold in aluminum or specified combinations.
We validate vacuum, demolding, geometry and finish according to scope.
Technical considerations.
Each sheet responds differently to heating and stretching; the actual specification is required.
They affect thickness distribution, demolding and part feasibility.
Channel layout and diameter must balance detail capture against surface marks.
The trim reference must be considered from the design stage, even if the trim die or process is separate.
Why Fundimoldes?
Engineering, patternmaking, casting, machining, assembly, finishing, validation and after-sales support under one operation.
Every proposal is backed by a review of geometry, material, process, equipment and real-world conditions.
Drawings, data sheets, reports and inspections are included according to project scope.
Fundimoldes can manufacture, maintain, repair, modify and reproduce tooling components.

Common questions.
Do you make molds for trays, blisters and housings?
Yes. We serve these applications and serial-production components.
Can the mold be adapted to my thermoforming machine?
Yes, subject to data on usable area, mounting, vacuum, temperature, closing and trimming process.
Can it include cooling?
Yes. We include integrated cooling when the application requires it.
What material do you use for the mold?
Aluminum or combinations depending on sheet thickness, temperature, volume and operating conditions.
