From the physical component to a manufacturable, documented spare part.
Fundimoldes selects the route among reverse engineering, scanning, machining, casting, welding, and validation based on geometry, material, criticality, and quantity.
I have an industrial part but no drawings. Can it be made?
Yes, in most cases. The physical sample is the starting point: its geometry is rebuilt, the material is defined and a new part is made and checked against the original. In this service Fundimoldes delivers the finished part, not just the design.
You provide the part, even if worn or broken, with what you know about its function and the equipment it works in.
We digitize the geometry with 3D scanning and complement it by measuring functional dimensions.
We rebuild a CAD model with nominal dimensions: the scan gives a mesh, and engineering turns it into a manufacturable part.
We define the material based on the part’s function and the available information about the original.
We choose the route by geometry and quantity: CNC machining, aluminum casting, welding or a combination.
We compare the new part against the CAD model and the agreed functional dimensions.
The part or a sample (if you can’t send it yet, photos with a size reference), the equipment or machine it works in, the material if known and the quantity you need.
Types and scope.
Capture of geometry, material, and function from the existing component. Ideal for: Parts without a drawing or supplier.
Digitizing complex geometries and comparing them against references. Ideal for: Housings, cavities, surfaces, and deformed parts.
Manufacturing by milling, turning, EDM, or complementary processes. Ideal for: Steels, aluminum, non-ferrous metals, and engineering plastics.
Reproduction through patternmaking and non-ferrous casting. Ideal for: Parts whose geometry or volume suits casting.
Restoration by welding, material buildup, machining, and fitting. Ideal for: Components with localized damage or wear.

How we work.
We review function, failure, material, condition, interfaces, quantity, and urgency.
We measure, scan, or model the part and define functional dimensions.
We select material, tolerances, process, blank, treatments, and inspections.
We perform the defined machining, casting, welding, assembly, and finishing.
We compare against CAD, drawing, sample, or functional interfaces.
We deliver the included files and records to make future replacements easier.
Technical considerations.
A used part does not necessarily reflect the nominal geometry; worn surfaces and functional datums must be identified.
When there is no certificate, identification may be approximate and require additional analysis if criticality demands it.
They must be reconstructed from assembly, contact, movement, and process, not by blindly copying every dimension.
You must be authorized to reproduce protected designs or third-party components.
Why Fundimoldes?
Engineering, patternmaking, casting, machining, assembly, finishing, validation and after-sales support under one operation.
Every proposal is backed by a review of geometry, material, process, equipment and real-world conditions.
Drawings, data sheets, reports and inspections are included according to project scope.
Fundimoldes can manufacture, maintain, repair, modify and reproduce tooling components.

Common questions.
Can you make a part without a drawing?
Yes, from a sample, 3D scanning, measurement, and reverse engineering.
How do you determine the material?
We start from documentation, visual identification, and experience; when criticality requires it, you must provide a specification or authorize an analysis.
Can you make a single unit?
Yes, subject to the technical and economic feasibility of the process.
Do you provide the drawing for future replacements?
CAD files, drawings, and a technical data sheet can be included depending on the commercial scope.
