The packaging shape is defined from the product: corners, bases, caps or cradles that hold it and absorb impacts in transit.
The aluminum mold is designed and built with the steam chambers, drainage and demolding that EPS requires, matched to the molding machine it will run on.
With the mold on an EPS shape molding machine, the foam parts are produced in series, usually at the customer’s plant or their molder’s.

Protection for appliances and equipment, packaging for industrial components, protective logistics packaging and lightweight parts for thermal insulation or separation.
Mold or cut blocks.
For a few units or very simple shapes, cutting EPS blocks may be enough. When protection needs a shape that hugs the product and volume is steady, a mold gives repeatable parts with a better finish and less handling.
What information to prepare.
The product you want to protect (or its 3D model), its dimensions and weight, the EPS density if already defined, the expected quantity and, if you already work with a molder, the machine data: usable area, clamping system and steam, air and vacuum connections.

Common questions.
Does Fundimoldes sell the foam packaging?+
Fundimoldes designs and builds the mold. The packaging is produced with that mold on an EPS molding machine. If you haven’t decided who will produce the parts, say so when requesting a quote.
Is EPS the same as Styrofoam?+
In everyday language, white protective foam is often called Styrofoam. Technically, that product is EPS, expanded polystyrene, and it is molded with steam in a dedicated mold.
I have a damaged EPS mold. Can you repair it?+
